Cignpost Diagnostics has introduced a new PCR testing programme that uses a ‘CT score’ (cycle threshold) to determine the infectivity level of anyone who is self-isolating following a positive COVID-19 test. A ‘CT score’ gives a qualitative measure to the Cignpost Diagnostics Positive Test Officer as to whether somebody is likely to still be infectious on returning to the work environment. This test is designed to be used in conjunction with Day 6 & 7 NHS lateral flow tests but has given our existing clients the information they need to ensure protecting their employees is at the heart of their decision making.
