Heart Health Assessment & Wellness Profile
The health consultation provides a one-to-one health risk assessment designed to provide a profile of your health and calculates your risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD) within the next 10 years. We will be conducting a broad range of tests including an assessment for diabetes and cholesterol levels, a full blood count (FBC), this is one of the most requested tests by GP's and provides vital information about the kinds and numbers of cells in the blood: red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Abnormalities in any of these types of cells can indicate the presence of health disorders. Additionally, we will test for your ferritin level which is a protein used to store iron in your cells, this is important for the body to manufacture health red blood cells. Finally, we will test your vitamin D levels, Vitamin D is essential for bone and teeth health, it is also super important to keep your muscles, nervous system and immune system working normally.
Amongst the physical measurements we will measure resting blood pressure and heart rate, conduct a 2-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) of your heart alongside several other body measurements, including a detailed body fat composition analysis incorporating muscle/fat mass/percentage, hydration levels and metabolic age.
If you are smoker/ex-smoker we will check your lung function.
The assessments will also incorporate taking small samples of blood from your arm as well as other physical measurements. Some of the results will be explained at the consultation whilst others will need to be analysed at the lab. Your results may be reviewed by a doctor and we will send you a full and comprehensive report detailing the whole consultation within 5 working days.

The assessment will take 45 minutes and you should ideally fast for at least 2 hours before your appointment for the most optimal results - if required you may drink a small amount of water.
Your personal data will be shared with the Welltech and Boditrax systems and the doctor for review. Cignpost Diagnostics is the Data Controller for all data, unless you set up a personal account in Boditrax to track your future progress. The legal basis for processing by Cignpost Diagnostics Ltd is consent.
Your data will be deleted from the Welltech system within 7 days of the assessment and all remaining information held by Cignpost Diagnostics within 90 days.
