Cignpost Diagnostics Exhibit at The Event Production Show

Cignpost Diagnostics recently attended The Event Production Show hosted by Mash Media on the 26th & 27th May at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. It was an event dedicated to the live events industry across sports, music and culture bringing companies and ideas together in one forum. From event promoters, festival organisers, production companies, corporate event planners, charities, experiential and marketing agencies, local authorities, government bodies and everything in between.

Joanne Knowles, show manager of EPS, gave an overview of the event and spoke about the challenges presented when organizing one of the first in-person events since the pandemic hit UK shores. With social distancing rules in play and the social anxiety gripping the nation, there was a clear difference from the EPS shows from before. With everyone wearing masks and keeping their distance it was an insight into how events like this would be in the foreseeable future. We had our own Steve Whatley one of the Cignpost founders, speak at the event and give a wonderful speech on how Government and the Events Industry could work together.

We had a beautiful stall displaying some our services and also hosted by our business development team who spoke with potential customers and partners, letting them know who we are and what we do. The audience turnout was understandably lower that previous years but the people we saw had a keen interest in what we do and how we do it. In particular, there was a huge interest in how we operate at the airports with accuracy and precision, as well as how we handle different challenges on a day to day basis. There was also a large interest from a lot of outdoor and large event production companies who wanted to know how we would help them run an event successfully. This shows that the event industry wants to get back up and running and hopefully Cignpost can give them the help and security they need to run successful events.

With other testing and health service companies on the site it was refreshing to see the growth in the industry and also the differences in what was on offer with Cignpost Diagnostics stood out in a crowded field.

We hope next year we can return to some normality and be able to be closer with the audience and our customers, so we can provide the expertise they have come to expect from us helping Britain get back to work.
