Cignpost at the Media Production and Technology Show 2022

Last week, Cignpost attended the Media Production and Technology Show. It was great to be back and see the show so busy, back up to around the attendance levels seen in 2019 – clearly, there’s a lot of production activity going on to make up for the past couple of years, and it was thrilling to be in such a creative environment and feel the industry coming back to life. 

After many interesting connections and great conversations, it is clear to us that there’s still a great deal of uncertainty around insurance when it comes to the TV and Film industry and what will fill the gaping hole left by the end of the Production Restart Scheme. Many productions still seem unsure about the level of COVID mitigations it’s necessary to have in place at this point in the pandemic. Cignpost is currently consulting with insurance brokers and advising on COVID risks on set.
